Hi, I’m Yani, and I’m passionate about storytelling!

Raised on dark fairytales and folklore, I’ve always been drawn to forest-covered landscapes, witches, princesses, heroes, and monsters—though I like to add my own twist to every tale. My love for Dungeons & Dragons, mythology, and classic fantasy fuels my writing, and I owe a special creative debt to Sir Terry Pratchett, whose sharp wit and unique approach to fantasy have been a major influence on me.

 

I was born in Ukraine and have lived in multiple cultures, which has given me a deep appreciation for different storytelling traditions. Today, I call Ontario, Canada home, where I spend my time exploring its beautiful forests, reading, and, of course, playing D&D. When I’m not lost in a book or world-building, I work as a business analyst and consultant, which has given me an eye for detail and a love for uncovering hidden patterns—something that often finds its way into my writing.
